Dock Data Alias
Summary:
A bug introduced in 10.4.10 causes lots of question marks in the dock. This droplet app fixes the dock plist to not have any question marks. Apply this app to your user template dock plist to fix it in your image, but can be applied to a specific user.
A bug introduced in 10.4.10 causes lots of question marks in the dock. This droplet app fixes the dock plist to not have any question marks. Apply this app to your user template dock plist to fix it in your image, but can be applied to a specific user.
Instructions:
1. Download the "Clear Dock Data Alias" application
2. Drag and drop any "com.apple.dock.plist" file to the application
How it works:
Each dock item has "data alias" information that seems to be specific to the hardware of a machine. So when you create an image, the plist has the wrong data information causing question marks. This droplet deletes all this information and the next time the dock is relaunched, there shouldn't be any more question marks.
Apply the app to your user template dock plist to fix it with all new users.
