Flipside 2.0 Released

I am glad to say that Flipside 2.0 has been released. This version was completely rewritten from the ground up. It has a brand new, cleaner user interface along with added support for target mode and netboot. Flipside now scans all connected devices to your computer for bootable devices. But if what you are looking isn’t found by Flipside, you can manually choose your device. Another great new feature is keychain support so you no longer need to type in the administrative password each time you want to use Flipside.
I am open to hearing your thoughts on the new version good or bad so feel free to send me an email. Read More...

The frist one is sysprep basics and the other one is how to create a single bootcamp image that works across several Macintosh models. Check them out, and let me know if you have any questions. How to Fix a Disabled Trackpad in Boot Camp

One issue that I have noticed with creating an image for boot camp for multible Macs, is the trackpad does not work when you image a different model that the image wasn’t orginally created on. One fix is to uninstall and reinstall the bootcamp software, which I find doesn’t work all the time. There is another way to fix it which is a bit quicker. Basically you have to install the generic Microsoft drivers first, then install the apple drivers. Here is how to do so, granted there may be other ways, maybe some easier than this way, but you get the point. Read More...

Show or Hide Hidden Files

Show or Hide Hidden Files
Summary:
This tiny app toggles between Finder showing or hiding hidden files.

Instructions:
1. Download the "Show or Hide Hidden Files" application
2. Launch "Show or Hide Hidden Files.app"
3. If prompted, select whether you want to show or hide hidden files.

How it works:
The app checks your finder plist file for the current state of the parameter "AppleShowAllFiles". If its true, it set it to false and restarts the Finder, and vice versa if its false. If parameter doesn't exists, the app asks the user what they want to do and does that.
